Hospital Auxiliary gift to rehab patients

Lynne Mowbray | The Maclean Hospital Auxiliary has recently purchased a selection of outdoor furniture for the use of rehab patients at the hospital. Maclean Hospital Auxiliary secretary Rhonda Shaw said that the new table, chairs and umbrella will be positioned outside the rehab area on the hospitals first floor. “This area is used by the rehab patients who may have had strokes or whatever and often need to learn to fend for themselves again,” Ms Shaw said. “They have to learn how to re-adjust to home life and this area is set up with a clothes line, steps and doors to open and shut. “Providing this outdoor furniture is just one of the small things that the auxiliary can do to help out,” she said.
