The shot of the day on Wednesday July 1 during our Mareeba Aged Care sponsored Stableford which was played on our short course went to Gai Blackman who had a hole in one on the 11th. This was Gai’s first hole in one and we were all very excited for her.

The winners of the day were Div 1 – Veronique Morgan and Div 2 – Molly Plunkett with Tina Hogg and Sandra Youlten taking the runner up prizes. We want to thank Mareeba for their very generous sponsorship and for continuing their support of ladies’ golf even through these tough times.

Last Wednesday conditions were cold and wet and therefore we had a small field with some ladies only playing nine before deciding to go home to a warm coffee. The winner of the Maclean Medal in Div 1 with a great 73 nett was Pat Harris. Pat played great consistent golf and considering the conditions it was a fantastic round. In Div 2 Molly Plunkett was the winner. This is a few weeks in a row now Molly, keep up the good work. Runners-up were Div 1 – Helen McFarlane and Div 2 – Helen Graney.
