Healthy Towns Maclean Community Workshop

Come along and help design local health & wellbeing solutions
WHEN: Thursday May 31 2018 Afternoon session from 12 to 3pm Evening session from 5 to 8pm
WHERE: Maclean Bowling Club, 1a McLachlan Street
North Coast Primary Health Network (NCPHN) is pleased to announce that two Healthy Towns Community Workshops – afternoon and evening – will be held in Maclean on Thursday May 31.  Lunch and dinner will be provided. The workshops follow the great response to the recent Your Healthy Towns community survey. Residents, service providers, key groups and agencies in the town are invited to attend. At the workshops attendees will:
  • Hear the results of the Maclean survey
  • Have a say in what programs and services are prioritised
  • Design local solutions to local issues
NCPHN’s Acting Chief Executive Sharyn White said the survey came up with some interesting results. “More than 250 people took part in the Maclean Community Survey. People told us that their town is a great place to live and a tight knit community. The top issues that people would like to focus on through the Healthy Towns program are caring for older people, mental health and diet and exercise,” she said. Healthy Towns aims to
  • Build community connections to support health and wellbeing
  • Strengthen existing services and programs
  • Identify and address service gaps
The Healthy Towns program is delivered by North Coast Primary Health Network and supported by funding from the Australian Government. You must register if you wish to come along to one of the workshops.
