Purple ice cream and purple beer were finishing touches at the Jacaranda Ball held at The Barn on Saturday night October 13.
The Jacaranda Festival’s manager, Leah Wallace, said it was a great night attended by 190 guests who danced the night away.
“Having the chance to meet the Junior Queen and Jacaranda Queen candidates was a highlight,” she said.
Funds raised at the ball are used to run the Jacaranda Festival, which runs from Saturday October 27 to November 4 – a full rundown of festival events can be found at www.jacarandafestival.com
The Saturday is the big day at Market Square, kicking off in the morning with the Jacaranda Children’s Morning and culminating with the crowning of the Jacaranda Queen and Junior Jacaranda Queen.
