Happy Paws Haven Update

We get all cats vet checked prior to adoption to make sure that we comply to the standards required by any pet shop. We have adopted out well over 1200 cats over the last 12 years and only a very small percentage having developed any illness as a result of the change in environment but now we are being extremely careful. All our animals are microchipped, immunised and desexed as soon as possible after they arrive. Our Rehoming number is 251000043.

Cats for adoption for this week:

Beth was found at the Grafton showground by some campers who had been feeding her and her family back in 2015. Before they left, they asked around to see if anyone would take them in. Beth came with a funny eye which we thought at first, she had partial sight. She had no problem with her eye until 2017 when she got an infection in it. At that time, we decided to take the eye in case the eye got worse. She is a beautiful affectionate loving silver tabby with the dots of a Bengal. She was a wonderful mother to not only her babies but to others as well. We would love to find a special loving home for her. She has been desexed, chipped, vaccinated, wormed, heart worm treated and de-flead too. (900164001156020)

Carter is a member of the C-team who were rescued in Maclean by a foster carer over a number of days at the end of October 2016, mum named Cara by the foster carer’s son was found in a garage as the owner was packing to move out. She had a small dog and she worried whether he might have a go at Cara and her family of very young kittens. They stayed in care until they were able to be desexed, immunised and chipped. Carter is a friendly affectionate young man when he chooses to be, demanding of strokes and attention at the others expense. He is a lovely gentle young man. He has been immunised, desexed and micro-chipped. (991003000002508)

Jacci is the last of a litter who came to us at the beginning of 2016. They had a very tough start and we were not sure if they would survive. They all have grown into lovely strong healthy beautiful affectionate cats. Jacci would love to follow in the footsteps of her brothers and sisters and find a loving forever home of her own. She loves her food and is a tad overweight. She has a mind of her own, loves being stroked, will come up for a cuddle but prefers not to be picked up. She would be a lovely companion cat for an older person. She would also be fine in an adult or semi adult household. She would be worried about little child trying to pick her up. She has been desexed, immunised, micro-chipped, flead, wormed and vet checked like all the animals here at Happy Paws Haven. (943094320432533)

Dogs for adoption for this week:

We get all dogs vet checked prior to adoption to make sure that we comply to the standards required by any pet shop. All our animals are microchipped, immunised and desexed as soon as possible after they arrive. All dogs are also tested to make sure that they do not have heart worm. We have rescued and adopted out well over 1300 dogs over the last 12 years. Our Rehoming number is 251000043.

Rig and Dolly are brother and sister who came to us as the people were moving and were not able to take them with them. They are American Bull Dogs, with lovely natures. They seem to get on reasonably well with other dogs but would be best suited in a home that does not have another dog. They can be split up but as they have grown up together it might be better if they stay together. Both are desexed microchipped and immunised. (953010001797217 and 953010001797229)

Hi, my name is Red, I am not entirely sure what breeds my parents were some say there might be a little bit of Lab, a little bit Ridgeback and who knows what else. I love people, their kids and I like being with my mate Sirus and most other dogs. I prefer not to share with a bitch unless I have too. I love to play with toys and run in the park but I am not overly active, I sit when I am told and come to my name, sometimes I even shake hands but I have been told we can’t do the at the moment. I have been desexed, only last weekend. I am microchipped, immunised and been treated for the usual parasites. (900079000630579)

Frankie came with her sister to us as young dogs. They were the last of a litter. Frankie unbeknown to us was pregnant and has since had her puppies. She only had two and one was still born. Frankie is still a typical teenager even though she has been a mum, full of energy, smart, loves to learn and needs to be occupied. She would be really good at agility, herding or flyball as they need mental and physical stimulation. She would be great as a best mate for active person. Frankie is a beautiful loving and affectionate young dog just wanting to please and to have her own human to look after and to be looked after. She is desexed, immunised, regularly treated for parasites. (900164001634064)
