Happy Paws Haven animals in need of a home

Kie came to us with her mother and four siblings early in 2017. Her mother was found on a vacant property with no form of identification and no one knowing where she came from so we called her Kinki as she had a kink in her tail and some of the offspring do too! They were in foster care for some time as we had closed the kitten house and we were waiting for the new one to be paid for, modified and completed. Kie is a beautiful tabby and white teenager who has come from a lovely family as Kinki her mum is so very affectionate and she has taught all her babies to be too. She is extremely loving, gentle, active, playful young cat who has been desexed, vaccinated and micro-chipped ready for her new home as are her whole family. ………………………………………………………….. Rita is a member of Rianne’s beautiful litter five kittens, four torti girls and Rico a fluffy black boy who has already got a home. Their story: we were called to the aboriginal community in Maclean early last year they were having a problem with some community cats who were continually breeding and their kittens. All the queens were pregnant again and they just did not know what to do. So we caught all the kittens and the queens put them into foster care and then got them all desexed. We returned all but one of the queens after they were desexed and kept all the kittens. The queen we kept Rianne is a lovely black fluffy young lady who like her son has already been adopted. All this lovely young cats are very affectionate, love cuddles, and happy to be stroked… just very beautiful loving cats. They are all desexed microchipped and immunised now ready for their new homes. ………………………………………………………….. Ulric came with his two sisters towards the end of last year. One of his sisters has already been adopted leaving young Ulmay and Ulric behind. He is beautiful affectionate playful mischievous loving young oriental cat that is curious about everything. He has been desexed immunised microchipped regularly treated for parasites ready for his new home. ………………………………………………………….. Sutton and his eight siblings came to us on the last day of May and they were not much more than five weeks old. Their young owner was homeless and her dog was struggling to feed all the pups so we said we would take them if she got mum desexed which was committed to and has happened so that the same mistake was not repeated. Mum is a lovely bitser, small to medium in size, dad was a Boxer cross. We had them vet checked, vaccinated and chipped, they were flead and wormed, put on a special puppy diet. They have grown into beautiful natured, well socialised, mischievous playful puppies and are now desexed. They need a home which will commit to continue their training, socialisation and be a family member and not be left in their back yard. ………………………………………………………….. Mia came to us reluctantly as her owner was moving interstate to a job where she could not have a dog. Her son was extremely unhappy as Mia was his mate and went everywhere with him. Mia is a lovely sweet natured affectionate kelpie cross with one bad habit in that she likes chickens too much! She is now desexed microchipped, immunised, deflead and wormed ready for her new home. ………………………………………………………….. Boss is a Belgian Shepherd Malinois full of energy highly intelligent, neurotic, totally people centric and loves to play. Well trained. Given the right owner who will spend the time he is an awesome dog he will love to go to obedience agility Rally-O tracking training as he needs to be challenged which is typical of the breed. He has loads of love to give affectionate and can be in your face. He needs in a very special home preferably with no other animals with a very special person who knows the breed and what they are capable of. This is not an ordinary dog, he is extremely strong, a bit like a machine, and very loving at the same time. He would be better as an only pet with his handler. In his own territory he can be protective and can be dog to dog reactive. This is mainly because he has not been socialised well with other animals but is also typical of the breed as he has a high play drive. He absolutely loves the water and would do anything for a daily swim. He seems fine on neutral territory or when a dog is behind someone else’s fence. He is absolutely fine with humans he respects. He reacts to horses but we do not know whether he will chase. Boss, like a lot of Belgian shepherds has separation anxiety and likes to be with his human most of the time. He will not do well in a working household if you are away for hours on end. He would be better off if you primarily work from home. He will need to sleep near you inside but is ok on the floor by your bed or nearby. He has been desexed, immunised, chipped, wormed and de-flead.     HappyPaws Haven 140 Tindal Road Eatonsville   Phone 0419 404 766 or 6644 9936   www.happypawsgrafton.com.au www.happypawshaven.com.au www.facebook.com/pages/Happy-Paws-Haven-Inc/76224320885 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vtWfy0axBg
