Gulaptis promises $10,000 to help rebuild Yamba Lions and Rotary sheds

The good work of the Lions and Rotary clubs in Yamba will soon be back in full swing after Clarence Nationals MP Chris Gulaptis announced in Yamba before Christmas that he had secured special grants of $5000 for each organisation.

“Both clubs lost their sheds to a fire on 22 November. They lost valuable assets, including Rotary’s barbecue trailer and the Lion’s iconic merry-go-round and train which had only recently been restored by the local men’s shed,” Mr Gulaptis said.

“As Yamba Lions Club’s Peter Ross put it to me, the kids are missing their merry-go-round and train for their Christmas parties, which is very sad.

“While those items are irreplaceable, I was able to convince NSW Nationals Leader and Deputy Premier John Barilaro to grant $5000 for each club to help bring hope and a bit of Christmas cheer to the great volunteers of these wonderful community groups.
