Great conditions for a week of Yamba ladies’ golf

We had a magnificent day for last Wednesday’s Pro Shop’s Ladies’ Summer competition, and it was great to see such a large field comprising 62 players, including four visitors from Royal Sydney, Mudgee and Moree clubs.

Helen Collins (37pts) was the Div 1 winner ahead of Janelle Carpenter (36pts) and Jane Bonner (35pts).

Tiffany Lee starred in Div 2 with her great score of 40pts. Lyn Rowland was r/up (36pts) and Denise Ginn was 2nd r/up (34pts c/b).

Nadene Carroll won Div 3 (36pts) beating Sandra Russo (34pts c/b) and Kathy Lollback (34pts).

Some of the day’s highlights were Nadene Carroll’s first-ever birdie, Tiffany Lee’s excellent score of 40pts to win Div 2 and Sandra Russo’s great round after her club adjustments.

The ball rundown went to 31pts c/b and our NTP winners were 3rd – Sarah Inglis (Mudgee) and 12th – Nadene Carroll.

With another picture-perfect day on Friday, we welcomed eight visitors from Grafton, Royal Sydney, Mudgee and Moree clubs into our competition comprising a field of 57 players.

Gwynne Thomas was the best in Div 2 (41pts) with Fay Gimenez (37pts c/b) and our visiting Mudgee player, Sarah Inglis (37pts) vying for the minor placings.

Carol MacPherson was thrilled to win Div 3 (38pts) and our Moree visitor, Tempe Onus, (37pts) was r/up and Lynne Eke (35pts) was 2nd r/up.
