Grants for volunteer organisations in our community

Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan has called on community organisations in to apply for grant funding to support the efforts of their volunteers. He said the Government was providing grants of between $1000 and $5000 to not-for-profit organisations. “The grants can be used towards the cost of essential items that help make the work of our volunteers easier, safer, and more enjoyable, such as equipment, training, transport and background screening,” he said. “Volunteers are the lifeblood of our community. By continuing to help each other and work together, we are building a stronger and safer community. “I encourage all not-for-profit organisations in our community to apply for the Volunteer Grants round to assist our volunteers and encourage volunteering.” The Volunteer Grants round is expected to open in August.
