Saturday afternoon 11 shooters met at the 500-yard mound for the 2024 Christmas shoot. Competition was tense as there were ham vouchers to be won by each discipline. Conditions were warm with some mirage and a steady breeze.
12 possibles were shot which included 5 in Target Rifle and 7 in Sporter. Peter Brown shot 50-5 & 50-8 in Target Rifle, Dennis Hilton shot 50-9 in his second shoot & Nick Abrahall shot 50-7 & 50-9 winning the off rifle prize with 100-16. Shane Budd had a great afternoon shooting his best score so far in Target Rifle winning the handicap prize with 102.5 taking the ham.
In Sporter PC, Peter Brown shot 50-5 and a perfect 50-10 winning both the Off-Rifle prize and handicap with 100.5 taking the ham. Matt Finney scored 50-6 & 50-7, Shane Budd scored 50-5, Kane Drayton shot 50-6 and Andrew Brown scored 50-5 in his first.
The afternoon Full-Bore shoot recommenced on Saturday January 4 from the 300-yard mound.
