As we near spring, warmer temperatures appear and we begin to see slightly trickier conditions. The mirage starts to show its wobbly head affecting the shooters view of the target. A slightly changeable breeze adds even more interest to the score board and shooters hope for a calm patch when it’s their visit to the mound.
Saturday August 14 was the first time we have seen all disciplines shot on the range in one day, with newcomers Scott Mitchell shooting his FTR rifle and Dan Kelly shooting F-Open.
Off Rifle trophies went to Peter Brown in Target Rifle, Scott Murdoch in F Class and Peter Brown in Hunter Class. Handicap trophies went to Stephen Small in Target Rifle, Scott Murdoch in F Class and Dave Lancaster in Hunter Class.
There will be no competition next Saturday as shooters follow the Covid stay at home orders currently in place for NSW. We hope everyone stays well as we all work together to calm the Covid storm. Shooting will recommence on the range when restrictions have been lifted.
