Another beautiful day last Saturday on the rifle range and, as expected, the electronic targets worked a treat – thank you David!
The flukey midday winds continued into the afternoon as competitors tried to keep all their shots within the bullseye. However, the light breezes were switching from side to side making conditions hard to read, thus groups were larger than expected and scores were somewhat frustrating.
In the Target Rifle Wayne Pearson took out the Off Rifle trophy with scores of 46/50 and 49/50, giving him a total of 95/100. He also managed to take home the Handicap Trophy with a handicap of 6 points, giving him a total of 101. In the ‘F’ Class (scoped rifle) John Bloomer managed to win the Off Rifle trophy with scores of 51/60 and 56/60, giving him a total of 107/120. His wife, Sue, scored 50/60 and 54/60 and with her handicap of 12 points, took out the Handicap Daily Trophy – this win by Sue meant John was in line to do the washing up at home for the next week.
