Grafton Regional Gallery celebrates the magic of the Clarence

Grafton Regional Gallery has launched a short film to promote the newly renovated Gallery reopened in March 2021.

The film follows a young girl and her grandfather on a surreal journey of art appreciation showcasing secret locations that highlight the beauty of the Clarence Valley.

The one-minute video was created by local film makers Gary Parker and Matty Hannon from Thunderbox Films and stars Clarence Valley actors Emily Schroder and James Patterson. Several other locals feature in the film including a young Aboriginal dance group and the Grafton Art Club life drawing group.

Gallery Director, Niomi Sands said “The star of the film is the iconic Clarence Valley which the Gallery is proud to represent. Congratulations to the film makers and actors on their work and thank you to the locals who let us through their gates to showcase our local landscape.

The film is being shown in north coast cinema screens from Tweed Heads to Sawtell through to June 2021 as well as in the Grafton Regional Gallery and on the Gallery social media channels.
