Grafton Laurel Club
Twenty nine members attended our October meeting and were welcomed by president Margaret Bailey.
Get well wishes were again expressed for Daphne Cooper who is coping with a long bout of illness, also to Val Walker who is having heart surgery at the end of this month, and to our esteemed Legacy president Michael Sexton who has glandular fever, get well soon.
Thanks were expressed to Legacy for putting on a very enjoyable Movie Day and lunch for our members where we watched the movie Miss Potter.
This month some more of our lovely ladies have reached milestone plus years in their birthday years and wishes were again expressed for these wonderful ladies, for Kath Mitchell, Mavis Robertson and Evelyn Milen who have reached the 90 plus year mark. Also not forgetting our other ladies who also had birthdays this month happy birthday wishes were also expressed to these ladies.
Our Legacy liaison officer said that the Legacy Christmas party is on Thursday 26th November at the Grafton District Services Club and invitations would be sent out and to please put this date in your diary.
Our next meeting is on the 4th November 2015 at 10.30am.
