On behalf of the six ladies competing I would like to thank the umpires on the day for giving up their time, the spectators who are always appreciated and the ladies who made the wonderful cakes and sandwiches for morning tea/lunch afterwards.
On a personal level I would like to thank Carlie for the game in maybe my last matchplay event. My friendship with Carlie began soon after my family moved to Grafton in 1985.

Chrissie Danvers managed to scramble her way to victory on the 16th hole. Well done and congratulations Chrissie.
Sunday August 18 – qualifying round for the Mixed N.S.W. Ambrose event.
Heather Purtill and Paul Langford had a fabulous 65 off the stick which gave them an overall 61.5 nett to win this event. They had an eagle on the 15th.
They will now represent Grafton in this event in Coffs Harbour on November 17. Well done and all the best.
