Grafton Gals FUNdraiser

Ed, It’s that time again … time to Think Pink and turn our minds toward supporting friends and family, even perfect strangers who’ve been affected by breast cancer. Time for a FUNdraiser. How about a Pink Lady Party? Suitably attired in pink, the irrepressible Miss Gail led the Grafton Gals and guests through their Keep Fit class al fresco in picturesque McKenzie Reserve. Then followed a hotly contested Not-So-Silent Auction. Sincere thanks to Buckley’s Music, Bunnings, Chemist Warehouse, Farmer Lou’s, Flowers by Bonnie, Helen Hearnshaw, Optus, Prouds and the Saraton. These businesses donated extremely generous and popular prizes. Throughout the morning, we were entertained by much-loved singer/guitarist Kim Connor, who has a knack for creating just the right atmosphere. Guests brought along an astonishing array of pink-themed finger food, consumed with gusto. How much did we raise? Just over $750 which goes straight to the Breast Cancer Network of Australia. This organisation was so helpful in a practical way during my own breast cancer journey. I just wanted to say thank you. Helen Tucker, Grafton
