Last Thursday the Championship Pairs continued with some great bowls played by all teams. S. Jacquin/M. Gough defeated D. Mason/J. Cooper; K. Power/W. McDonald defeated F. Cannon/S. Hillier [lucky losers]; M. Firth/M. Elliott defeated S. Stock/D. Rapley and R. Foley/ J. Weatherstone [winners] defeated A. Bowling/A. Williams and on the social rink C. Newsome, A. Perkins and D. Walsh [runner/up] defeated S. Taylor, K. Johnson and M. Toovey. Resting Toucher was won by A. Williams and the competition winners were S. Hillier, M. Firth, M. Gough and M. Elliott. Two games of Championship Pairs were played on Tuesday with another two games to be played Wednesday morning. M. Toovey/B. Murray defeated J. Pugh N. Mawhirt, and R. Foley/J. Weatherstone defeated M. Gough/ S. Jacquin. Social bowls M. Wilkinson, J. McPhee and D. Rapley [runner/up] defeated R. McDonald, D. Walsh and S. Woodward, K. Power/S. Stock [lucky losers] defeated by T. Shorten/D. Mason,  C. Morrison, A. Perkins and M. Firth defeated by S. Taylor, M. Elliott and J. Solomon. S. Hillier/J. Cooper [winners] defeated F. Cannon/M. Buckley. Resting toucher was won by M. Buckley and the competition winners were M. Elliott, G. Madden, M. Toovey, J. Pugh and A. Morrison. Minor Pairs will be played August 3^rd with S. Jacquin/M. Gough v D. Walsh/S. Taylor and S. Hillier/K. Power v W. McDonald /T. Shorten. After bowls we all retreated to the dining room for lunch to thank our outgoing President Dawn for her leadership for the past three years. Vice President Alma made a presentation of a lovely engraved pen and flowers to Dawn. Dawn responded saying she had enjoyed her time as President and it was lovely to see so many at the luncheon and thanked them all for coming. A reminder that our AGM will be held next Tuesday August 1^st at 1.30 after bowls and we look forward to seeing you all there.   Kitty
