Thursday 28th April In a six-table Howell match, equal first place went to Delma Frawley and Beryl Kneale, and Claire Henry and Dawn Martin. In third place were Cheryl Shanley and Frances Hiatt. Friday 29th April Eight partnerships contested the day’s play. First by a very large margin were Joan Stephenson and Jean Felton. In second place were Delma Frawley and Claire Henry; Mavis Smith and Peter McGruer came third. South Grafton Bridge Club Tuesday 26th April Geoff and Tiny Betts won from Dawn Martin and Jean Felton. In third place were Pat McLennan and Matt Staehelin. Next week bridge players will take part in the annual Bridge For Brains Challenge to support research into Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Neuroscience Research Australia is the nation’s leading independent research institute dedicated to diseases and disorders of the brain.
