Grafton Breast Cancer Support Group

The Grafton Breast Cancer Support Group meets on the first Friday of every month at the South Grafton District Ex-Servicemen’s Club, 2 Wharf Street, South Grafton at 11am.

We have had a long, long break and finally met again last Friday October 2.

We were previously holding our meetings at 10am, but, due to the Covid issues, have temporarily moved the meetings to 11am.

However, numbers are limited to 10 attendees.

This group is a social group as well as a fundraising group. Our members are wonderful people who look after others and have a good time together.

Life is precious. Let’s not waste a moment!

We welcome all people diagnosed with breast cancer and their families and friends at any stage of their breast cancer journeys.

Our Clarence Valley community has helped us raise funds to cover the cost to help many people diagnosed with breast cancer over 16 years!

We have bought lymphodoema sleeves and wigs, paid for scans and petrol and well-being vouchers over the years. We also offer funding for home support such as mowing and house cleaning.

Funds are available. If you need any help, please contact us.

Funds can also be accessed through the Grafton Base Hospital Oncology department through our McGrath Breast Care nurse, Cathy Brophy.
