Grafton Art Club reschedules exhibition

The dates may have changed, but the Grafton Art Club’s 52nd Jacaranda Art Exhibition is still expected to draw a large crowd.

Brushing off their disappointment following the event’s cancellation last year, the club will host its 2021 exhibition between December 7-11 in the T.J. Ford Pavilion (the barn), at Grafton Showground.

The annual event showcases uniquely created original artworks by Clarence Valley adults and youths.

This year, the event will also feature a special Jacaranda invitation section to encourage artists to work with recycled or locally sourced materials, and submit their finished pieces displayed on canvas, box frames, or as a sculpture.

The major prize awarded during the exhibition is the Bendigo Bank Open Art Prize, valued at $2000 and proudly sponsored by the Bendigo Bank, South Grafton branch.

Entries for the 52nd Jacaranda Art Exhibition close on October 29.

All forms and entry fees must be submitted to the Grafton Art Club Inc at PO Box 507, Grafton, 2460, or delivered to the club’s main premises at 365 Dobie Street, Grafton.

Entries must be delivered to the T.J. Ford Pavilion on December 5, between 12-5pm, or on December 6, between 8:30–10:30am.

The club wishes to advise that no late entries will be accepted.

The Grafton Art Club’s 52nd Jacaranda Art Exhibition opening ceremony and awards presentation will be held on December 7, between 6-8pm.

The exhibition will be open daily between 9am–5pm.
