GoFundMe still active for Maddi Hambly

Clarence Valley residents are still being encouraged to give generously in support of local woman Maddi Hambly as she continues to recover in the Gold Coast University Hospital after sustaining serious injuries in a single vehicle crash on July 28.

The 27-year-old mother of one has since undergone multiple surgeries and is continuing to make progress each day.

Tahlia Spicer, a family friend of Ms Hambly who launched a GoFundMe page last month, told the Clarence Valley Independent she will spend the next four to five months in hospital and will have to learn to walk again after breaking both of her legs.

Ms Hamby’s 18-month-old daughter Lyla continues to be cared for by family members.

“Maddi will need full time care as she continues to recover, and not being able to work will have a huge impact on her livelihood, so any amount people can spare to help her and Lyla would be very kindly appreciated,” Ms Spicer said.
