Giving Made Easy

For many people living and working in the Clarence Valley, the gift of a workplace giving donation from their pay to the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter is an easy ‘set and forget’ way of supporting a local charity.

Businesses and organisations such as the Clarence River Fishermens Co-op, J Notaras and Sons, Clarence Valley Council, Grafton District Services Club, Harwood Mill, Mareeba Aged Care, Blanchard Haulage, O’Halloran Motors, Westlawn Business Finance and others allow their staff to set up a tax deductible donation to support the saving of lives throughout the Clarence Valley and beyond.

Regional Marketing Manager for the Rescue Helicopter Service, Zeke Huish commented “Each year we have the challenge to fundraise over $3.5M to keep the Service flying. Every workplace giving donation, some just $2 a week, really adds up and helps to collectively raise over $475,000 in support annually across our flight area!”.

“We have heard many stories over the years of people who set up a donation from their pay via their employer soon after our Service started in 1982. It is incredible to think just how much some people have given through years of dedicated support…we simply can’t say thanks enough to everyone who contributes in this way and to the businesses and organisations who process these payments each week on behalf of their staff” remarked Mr Huish.
