Last Thursday the semi final of the Championship Pairs was played with A. Bowling/A. Williams d A. James/M. Firth [lucky losers] also J. Pugh/N. Mawhirt d S. Taylor/D. Walsh. The final will be played Thursday 31^st between A. Williams and N. Mawhirts team. Fay Cannon got off to a flying start last Tuesday winning the resting toucher at 9.05, well done Fay. Winners on the day were T. Shorten, M. Toovey and D. Lawson d T. Shorten, V. Hall and N. Mawhirt in a very close game; F. Cannon/J. Weatherstone d D. Mason/D. Rapley; N. Dunn/B. Murray d J. Wilkinson/A. Williams, (lucky losers), M. Gough, E. Neal and J. Cooper (runner/up) d A. Perkins, W. MacDonald and J. Solomon. Competition winners were J. Solomon, J. Weatherstone 2, M. Firth. District Triples begin at our Club next Tuesday June 5 so come along and enjoy watching if you are not playing and we wish out teams good bowling in this competition.
