Gaming machines in the Clarence Valley local government area (LGA) generated $1,560,173.46 in tax revenue during the six months ending December 31, 2019.

The data was revealed in Liquor and Gaming NSW’s Gaming Machine Bi-Annual Report by Local Government Area (LGA) for the Period 1 July 2019 to 31 December 2019.

The LGA’s 13 clubs, which have 525 machines between them, made a net profit of $11,120,946.83.

Each of the LGA’s machines generated an average net profit of $21,182.75, which compares to the state average of $29,458 net profit per machine.
Net profit generated by the state’s 1,071 clubs (68,692 machines) was $2,023,557,110, which realised $400,182,111 in tax.

Meanwhile, the LGA’s 25 hotels (232 machines) returned a net profit of $5,511,995 across the LGA and generated $1,222,754 in tax revenue.

Among the clubs, Grafton District Services Club is ranked at 131 (128 machines) in the state, when it comes to generating a net profit from gaming machines.

Yamba Bowling and Recreation Club (89 machines) is ranked at 196.

Maclean & District Bowling Club (47 machines) is ranked 296.

South Grafton District Ex-Servicemen’s Club (61 machines) is ranked 300.

Yamba Golf and Country Club (56 machines) is ranked 410.
Maclean-Lower Clarence Services Club (34 machines) is ranked 464.

Iluka Bowling Club (45 machines) is ranked 470.

Wooli Bowling & Recreation Club (28 machines) is ranked 656.
Brooms Head Bowling & Recreation Club (12 machines) is ranked 714.

Grafton District Golf Club (12 machines) is ranked 719.

Iluka Golf Club (8 machines) is ranked 917.

Maclean Golf Club (5 machines) is ranked 1,039.

South Grafton Bowling Sports and Recreation Club (0 machines) is ranked 1,060.

Similar listings for the LGA’s 25 hotels reveal that the Clocktower Hotel tops the valley’s list (18 machines) and is ranked 581 among the state’s 1,349 hotels.

Maclean Hotel (9 machines) is ranked 755.
