Lynne Mowbray | There is new leadership and renewed excitement for the Yamba Chamber of Commerce following their AGM, which was held at Irons & Craig, Yamba, on Monday September 17. The outgoing committee members are: president – Debbie McCredie, secretary – Bev Mansfield and treasurer – Rick Angelo. The new executive is: president – Gina Lopez, vice-president – Lauren Priest, secretary – Roz Woodward and treasurer – Meredith Morschel. Outgoing president Debbie McCredie said that she wished to thank the outgoing executive committee for the endless hours of time (given to the chamber). “I’d like to congratulate the executive committee for all of our achievements over the past year,” Ms McCredie said. “It’s really exciting to welcome so many new business owners into the Chamber and to have them take on roles on the executive committee. “I congratulate Gina on her appointment as president and look forward to watching their enthusiasm contribute to the future of Yamba,” she said. President Gina Lopez said that the committee is currently in transition between the past and current executive members. “There will be much to report in the coming months as we explore ways we can be of service to Yamba,” Ms Lopez said. “We have great support from stakeholders and we are excited about the projects we can execute as a committee and a business community. “We have 11 committee members, who have diverse experience and skills; they are of great value to the Yamba Chamber of Commerce, business and community. “We thank the past committee for all their work and commitment, we are honoured to carry the torch and look forward to lots of exiting opportunities for our local community,” she said.
