The best of regional food will be available at the Gate to Plate Regional Masters in Yamba on Saturday March 30. Fourteen hand-picked artisan food and drink producers of the Northern Rivers region will present a Regional Masters Food Expo throughout the day and a Roman Banquet that evening.
From 9am to 4pm visitors can sample artisan food and beverages created in the Northern Rivers, be inspired by live cooking demonstrations by Charly Prétet of The French Pan Tree, enjoy live music and perhaps book into a master class or two presented by the producers throughout the day. Artworks by leading artists of the Clarence Valley will also be display.
Come for morning coffee, stay for lunch and chill out with a craft beer or glass of wine. Entry is $5 at the door, school students and younger are free.
There are seven masterclasses by Nicholson Fine Foods, The Cheese Making Workshop, Blushing Blueberries, Nimbin Valley Dairy, Amongst Gumtrees, Robert Channon Wines and Seven Mile Brewing. Tickets are $25 per class.
Other exhibitors making up the Expo include Causley’s Fresh Food, Mirrabooka Pork, My Twin Loaves, Holiday Coast Meats, Salumi Australia, Tru Blu Prawn Farm and Zentvelds Coffee.
The Roman Banquet launches at 6pm with aperitifs, live music, and all the delicious food of our region. This will be a mosaic of foodie delights in which exhibitors showcase their produce Roman Banquet style. Banquet tickets are $65.
A lively auction of paintings and sculpture will add to the feasting of this fundraiser. The event is made possible with the support of the Clarence Valley Council through its Events Sponsorship program, and through the generous in-kind sponsorship of the exhibitors.

Gate to Plate events presented by The Gallery Foundation combine a love of food and creativity which produces magical culinary experiences and supports the artistic and cultural life of the Clarence Valley.
