First up Monthly Medal for Yamba ladies

Our first Wednesday round for the year was a Monthly Medal. The 51 players endured very hot, sticky weather as the day progressed. We were thrilled to see Maree Bennie and Lynn Alford join us for their first official 18-hole round.

Medal winners were: A Grade – Darrie Nightingale; B Grade – Vicki Davies and C Grade – Kathy Hardaker.

The A Grade nett winner was Darrie Nightingale (73) and Shaz Phillips was gross winner (86). Kathy Parker was nett r/up and the putting and overall putting winner (25).

The B Grade nett and gross winner was Vicki Davies (77 and 101). Nett r/up was won by Gwynne Thomas (78 c/b) and Lisa Marsh won the putting (26). 

Kathy Hardaker (67) was C Grade’s nett winner. Barbara Roberts (72 c/b and 111 c/b) was the nett r/up and gross winner.

Jane Anderson won the putting (29).

Wednesday’s nine-hole competition had a small field of six and it was Lorraine Stokes who came through with the winning round (15pts). The Sassafras NTP was not won.

We had a field of 54 players in Friday’s Single Stableford round.

The Div 1 winner was Janelle Carpenter (39pts). Fiona Smart (38pts) was r/up and Sharon Phillips (36pts) was third.

Sandra Wallace (37pts c/b) won Div 2 beating Lisa Marsh (37pts) and Lynne Donsworth (35pts).

Melinda Gibbs (Maclean) won Div 3 with 34pts c/b. Jane Anderson (34pts) and Kathy Hardaker (32pts) followed.  NTP’s: Flots and Jets 3rd – Sharon Phillips; Clarence Valley Chiropractic 3rd (2nd) – Sandra Grissell; Seafire Restaurant 9th (2nd) 1000pts – Val Pate; Mitre 10 10th – Lyn Rowland; Peter Campbell Physio 10th (2nd) – Sandra Russo; Amie Rose Beauty 12th and Nicholson Fine Foods 17th – Janelle Carpenter and Yamba Pharmacy 17th (2nd) – Melinda Gibbs. Balls to 29pts

Friday’s nine-hole ladies’ competition had a field of five and it was Joy Williams who came through with the win (15pts).

Saturday’s Single Stableford winner was Kylie Lowe (34pts) and NTP winner, sponsored by Seafire Restaurant, was Annalese McKee, Coffs Harbour.
