Firefighters benefit day for Iluka and Woombah volunteers

What a great day we had for the firefighters of Iluka and Woombah on Sunday December 15.

Your golf club combined with the Iluka & Woombah Rotary Club and we produced a ‘corker’ of a day.

Two bands, first the wonderful ‘Macleles’ with their mix of country and blues and then those rock ‘n’ roll bandits, ‘Danny and Sam’, with their own brand of pumping rock music.

The Iluka and Woombah Rotary Club raised $1,651.30 at their Sunday Market bucket donation, and together with the Iluka Golf Club Ltd last Sunday’s total of $6,510.95, the total amount of $8,162.25 will be spent directly supporting the Iluka and Woombah firefighting units.

Just wonderful, and thank you to all the many volunteers and thank you to the wonderful broader communities of Iluka and Woombah for your generosity.

Wow ….. That sure makes you feel humble and proud.
