Fields still full at Yamba

With plenty of visitors still gracing our fairways Thursday’s single Stableford was packed with golfers enjoying the heat and the extra run that the dry fairways are providing.

A Grade winner was Stuart Price from New South Wales Golf Club with 39pts on a c/b from Wayne Rice and 3rd went to Brad Jamieson from Gatton with 36pts on a c/b.

Robert Onus from Moree was the B Grade winner with 40pts from Don Neumann from Gatton with 39pts and Terry Hicks was 3rd with 38pts.

In C Grade Terry Hulm was the winner with 40pts on a c/b from Tommy James 40pts and 3rd was Charlie Tyler with 39pts.

NTP’s: SeaFire Steak and Seafood 3rd – Des Hall 106cm; Peter Campbell Physio 9th – Kyle Hagarty 110cm; SeaFire 10th – Graeme Lloyd 204cm; Yamba Barber Shop 12th – Max Sweetman 70cm; SeaFire 17th – Dave McQueen at 259cm.

Balls went to 34 with 14 on the back 9.

Saturday Stroke

With heat and the thought of counting all your shots on Saturday the field had decreased a little but still up on a normal Stroke medal round.

A Grade winner was Leigh Barrington from Maclean with a great score of 65 nett, runner up and medal winner was Terry Winser with 66nett and 3rd went to Barry Fisher with 69 nett.

Brad Jamieson from Gatton was the gross winner with 77 hits.

A Reserve medal winner was Craig Penman with 69 nett from Mike Grills with 70 nett on a c/b from Richard Beresford. Mike won the gross with 84 hits.

In C Grade Neil Drummond had his first break through victory in a while returning 68 nett and giving him the medal on a c/b from Nick Anderson  and 3rd was Peter Auliff with 69 nett, Nick won the gross with 88 hits.

Terry Bull won the C Grade medal with 68 nett from Bruce Zietsch 71 nett and 3rd went to Lary Dorman with 72 nett; Terry won the gross with 102 hits.

NTP’s: John Wright Pro Shop 3rd – John Stuckey at 85cm; Peter Campbell Physio 9th – Terry Cumiskey at 54cm; SeaFire 10th –  Chris Austin 89cm; SeaFire 12th – Alan Syle at 90cm; Bean Scene 17th – Dave Beaumont at 460cm and the 2nd shot 17th was Ray Scovell at 300cm.
