Ferry Park Gallery Artist of the Month for January is Karin Brear

Karin moved from Brisbane 8 years ago to settle in the Clarence Valley which inspires her with its natural seasonal beauty of land and sea.

Her art journey started with folk-art and progressed into fine art. She enjoys painting in a variety of styles and mediums, such as pastel, acrylic, oil, inks, mixed media and watercolour, and has won various awards for her works.

Karin says, “My favourite genres to paint are seascapes, landscapes, water, trees, sunsets, sunrises, birds, mixed media, abstracts and florals. My inspiration comes from nature itself being the ocean, water, rocks, landscapes, flowers, animals, trees, leaves and birds. No two of my artworks are the same. Lately I have been dabbling with abstract work.”

Lower Clarence Arts and Crafts Association Inc (LCACA) is a not-for-profit community organisation promoting and showcasing artisans of the Clarence Valley.
