Fashionable day for the whole family

The 2022 Maclean Bowling Club Kids and Family Fashions on the Field attracted a high number of entrants this year.

And the judges had an extremely difficult time choosing the winners.

There was plenty of glitter and glamour on display, and lots of excited smiles, as children as young as one proudly modelled their fanciest and most fashionable race day outfits and enjoyed the ambience of the occasion.

Winner of the Teen 13-17 years category for best dressed girl Elanah Dunston told the Clarence Valley Independent she loves dressing up and heading to the races in July.

A regular participant in Fashions on the Field, Elanah was over the moon to walk away with a sash this year and is already planning her race day attire for the event in 2023.

“It’s a great chance to wear some of my best clothes, and it’s a lot of fun to enter as well,” she said.

“It’s nice to see so many people dress up for the day.”
