Familiar faces at Yamba Day VIEW Club

Monday’s luncheon again experienced very-low numbers, but it was pleasing to see familiar faces, with our COVID-19 rules into effect, safe distancing across the room, plus other rules applying. Many thanks to those members who make the effort to keep the club operating, and the children supported during these times.

Our trivia guru, Leslie Mcfarlane very quickly tested our memories, with some easy then hard questions. Thankyou Leslie.

Also, a huge thank you to Craig for a delicious lunch, which was enjoyed by all.

Joy purchased and wrapped the prizes this month, which were won by D. P. and Erica; good on you ladies.

Social outing this month was the peach farm, next month morning tea at Angourie Café on Monday September 28 at 10am.

All members were saddened to hear our much-loved Jan, passed away suddenly in her home. No words can cover her life story, but joyous, vibrant, full of life, caring, heart of gold, all come to mind. Jan had been a contributing member of our club since 8/10/1993, a past president, secretary, publicity officer, honouree hostess and often joked about being the longest serving member on Committee. She was still on Committee when she became very ill, but Jan, being Jan, would not let the team down.
