Exhibition opening at the Old Kirk

Lynne Mowbray | The opening of the ‘Snapshots’ exhibition took place at The Old Kirk, Yamba Museum, on Saturday afternoon. ‘Snapshot’s is a collective exhibition of artworks by Maclean residents Julie McKenzie and Malcolm King. The paintings and prints are a collection of real, surreal and other works. President of the Yamba Museum Marea Buist said that ‘The Old Kirk’ (heritage listed former Presbyterian Church, which is located at the Yamba Museum), provides a fantastic location for artists to exhibit their works. “It’s wonderful for local artists to be able to showcase their work here,” Ms Buist said. “It also expands our museum audience as well,” she said. The ‘Snapshot’s exhibition will run until September 30.
