The results of the 2022 Federal election for the division of Page have been formally declared by the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC).

On June 21, recently re-elected Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan joined staff at the AEC office in Grafton for the official Declaration of the Poll.

Describing the event as a significant occasion, Mr Hogan thanked the community for continuing to put their faith and trust in him as their representative in Canberra and extended his sincere appreciation to his supporters.

Mr Hogan also gratefully acknowledged the Divisional Returning Officer for the electorate of Page Kerin Hallam and her team for their dedication and contributions during the recent election.

“I’m very conscious of the workload you’ve been involved with, and the very important roles you play in the democracy of our country,” he said to them.

“I also acknowledge the preparation you’ve been involved with leading up to the 2022 Federal election.

“Thank you for all the work you’ve done, and the work you continue to do.”

Mr Hogan was one of 10 candidates who contested the seat of Page at the recent election.

During the Declaration of the Poll last week, he took the opportunity to acknowledge the other nine candidates.

“We were a diverse group of people, but there was a lot of respect and comradery amongst us, which is how it should be,” he said.

“I wish to acknowledge the other 9 candidates who were all a very important part of the 2022 Federal election.”

After revealing she might get a little emotional during the occasion, Ms Hallam smiled through her tears as she expressed her sincere thanks and gratitude to her wonderful team at the Grafton AEC office.

“I absolutely could not have done this event without you,” she said appreciatively to the men and women behind her.

“You are all an integral part of the team.

“Thank you for everything you have done.”

Ms Hallam also congratulated Mr Hogan for retaining the seat of Page.
