Our recently held Spring Fair was very successful with stalls selling jams, pickles and lots of delicious cakes, handicraft items, books and some very interesting bric-a-brac flying off the tables.
The marquee set up in front of the CWA rooms attracted locals and many tourists who came to enjoy the atmosphere and the Devonshire teas with the scones freshly made on the premises and served with lashings of jam and cream.
The scarecrow competition was the highlight of the day raising funds for drought relief with the Harwood Island PS scarecrow winning first prize.
The raffle winners were Trevor Commerford, Sarah Davidson and Joy Johnson.
If you are interested in finding out what CWA is all about, drop in for a cuppa on Wednesday mornings at our rooms, 40 River Street Maclean or phone our secretary, Susan on 0419 960 370.
