The Clarence River Jockey Club (CRJC) acknowledged their life members during their recent race meeting on November 8, and took the opportunity to thank them for their significant contributions and steadfast dedication throughout the years.

Following the running of Race 3, the CRJC Life Members Benchmark 66 Handicap-Heat of the Rising Star over 1400m, a number of life members including Peter Lindeman and Bill Dougherty, joined winning jockeys and talented apprentices Mollie Fitzgerald and Benjamin Osmond during the presentation after their mounts Dorset Coast and Velvet Haze recorded a dead heat on the track.

The CRJC also paid tribute to life members who had recently passed away by naming several races on the program in their honour.
