Ed,
So much has happened since this Chinese made disease came to our land. First it was the great toilet paper shortage, I could never figure out that one. Now there is the skilled labour shortages, now I can figure that one out.
It all started with mandates, someone tried to convince someone else that they should get vaxed, but they could not sell the idea, the idea and the vaxes were flawed after all. So, the next thing we know it became “compulsory” for many people to get this chemical injected into their bodies. Whether you believe the vax to be good or bad, you cannot, in all good conscience make it compulsory to have it but that is what these people did. So now we have a group of people who do not want the vax but must have it so they can still keep their job and feed their family, many thousands. I know personally many who did not want the vax, and lots of them have had bad reactions to the vax and are unable to work anymore because of it.
But we have another group who will not get the vax and are willing to pay the price. There are thousands of them out there, people who are very important to our society, police, ambos, teachers, age care, disability workers, garbos, you name it they are there, still are, but they are not allowed to work in their chosen profession anymore because of this silly mandate that still exists.
Most of the labour shortages can be levelled at this mandate to be vaxed. People were paid for months NOT to go to work until they could be fired without fear of reprisals from the Fair Work Commission [toothless tiger] for unfair dismissal. The government departments who happily made these bad decisions to mandate are very loathed to get rid of them now because they will have to admit their decision was wrong. Then these government departments will be open to lawsuits for loss of everything people had to go through because someone thought that this vax was a good idea. So where do we go from here? We import people who will do the work, migrants, we do not have the infrastructure for the people we have now, and we are going to get more to cover up a problem of pride and prejudice.
