Clarence Valley Council’s latest developments and future plans were unveiled to the local business community at the Grafton Chamber of Commerce Breakfast at Vines at 139 Cafe on Wednesday May 18.
Guests were provided an overview which included the following.
- Streets As Shared Spaces – $495,000 grant to trial innovative ideas to make Prince St more inviting and help boost economic recovery.
- Grafton Waterfront Precinct – $6.5 million project funded by the Federal government to connect the city to the Clarence River and revitalise the waterfront parkland.
- Employment Land Strategy – Outlines future industrial and business land use in the Clarence Valley region. Draft on exhibition until 26 May.
- Integrated Planning & Reporting (IP&R) Framework – Sets the direction for council operations and aims to achieve the aspirational goals detailed in the Community Strategic Plan 2032. Draft on exhibition until 26 May.
Planning Update – Overview of Council’s strategic planning priorities, service delivery and key planning reforms. Current projections forecast record year for DA processing.
