The team at Connect You Too (Connectu2) has been busy adjusting to lock down and border restrictions whilst still helping the community get out and about during October 2021. It has been great assisting our customers get to their important appointments or just do their shopping.
During the month of October 2021, we performed a total of 1646 trips with a total of 91,691 service kms. Our popular destinations included 54 trips to Ballina; 122 trips to Coffs Harbour; 15 trips to the Gold Coast; 530 trips to Grafton; 173 trips to Lismore and 305 trips to the Yamba/Maclean area.
We managed to get the community to 309 specialist appointments; 184 hospital visits (Day Surgery drop off/pick-up); 220 GP appointments; 7 dentist appointments & 404 shopping trips.
Our Airport Shuttle service will resume its normal pre-paid service from 8th November – for bookings – email bookings@connectu2.org.au
Our Meals on Wheels service based in Iluka delivered 767 meals and 296 desserts during the month of October 2021. We were able to do welfare checks, have a quick chat and help our customers see a friendly face (even with our masks on).
