How lucky are we to have a paper like the ‘Independent’ to assist us with the election of our local councillors?  The questions put to the candidates are pertinent and political but that’s what they would expect anyway. Congratulations to all involved.

It was wonderful to see all the villages and towns represented in that list – ten different districts in total. Only one thing (place) missing. You guessed it – Iluka.

I will or have attended the ‘meet the candidates’ forum and I hope they allow some questions. I would like to know which candidates will give full support to that ongoing issue of a public toilet in the main street of Iluka instead of walking to the ovals or beach. It will be a sure vote catcher from an area that does not have its own ‘local’ representative. Over to you candidates.
