Computer Club celebrates Christmas

  The Clarence Valley Seniors Computer Club in Maclean held its Christmas lunch on Friday, at the Maclean Services Club. The luncheon was attended by 75 members and special guests included Clarence Valley mayor Jim Simmons and wife Lexie and Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter – Northern Region’s fundraising manager Zeke Huish. President of the Computer Club, Dennis Noel, presented a cheque for $1,000 to Mr Huish to go towards the valuable service which the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter provides to the community. Mr Huish spoke briefly about the new helicopters which will be is service as from April 1, 2017 and will be bigger and better than the current helicopters which are now 20 years old. During the luncheon two life memberships were presented to members of the computer club; Bob McPherson and Frank James for their service to the computer club which has been going for 10 years.
