Round 3 of the Grafton Sporting Car Club Hillclimb series will be run at the Mountainview Circuit on Sunday (July 21) from 9am.
Competitors are looking forward to running on the newly laid surface, and lap records are sure to set. A variety of cars will be running, from road registered daily drives through to purpose built race cars.
Hillclimbs are a safe and excellent way for young drivers to learn to control their cars, with drivers as young as 14 years old being able to compete. Costs for competing are surprisingly inexpensive, and you can even run with your daily drive. Talk to any of the officials on the day about the simple steps needed to obtain a CAMS licence and club membership.
Spectators can come and watch the whole day for free. Take advantage of our canteen and grab breakfast and lunch with hot and cold drinks. You can see the whole circuit from there.
Mountainview Circuit is easy to find. Just drive north on the Summerland Way through Trenayr and turn left onto Clarence Way towards Copmanhurst. The circuit is on the right hand side a few kilometres from that intersection and is well signposted.
