We are pleased to announce the AGM meeting finally took place in September, and we congratulate all the elected office bearers.

President Judy Abbott has taken over from Terry Bird, who is now orchid plant registrar. All positions are filled.

Results from the meeting saw Both Judges’ and Peoples’ Choice Orchid go to Brian Donaghy’s winning Phalaenopsis, New Cinderella x Phalaenopsis Strawberry Sugar ‘Brother’, a Popular Vote part of a 3-way tie, with Brian’s Phalaenopsis Alice’s Kevin Silcox, and Ken Woods’ Dendrobium Tangalooma ‘Golden Throne.’

Both Judges’ Choice and Popular Vote Flower winner, Brian Donaghy’s spectacular Kalanchoe var. Mirrabella. Well done everyone.

Next meeting is on Saturday October 16, at the Presbyterian Church Hall, Church Street, Maclean. Plants are benched by 1pm for the 1.30pm start. It will include opportunity to buy and sell. Around 20 members can register with secretary, Sue keeping aware of distancing conditions, masks, hand hygiene. Happy Spring!
