Clarence Valley Ramblers ‘Christmas in July”
Thirty vehicles attended Christmas in July Celebrations at Whiporie and a great time was had by all. Visitors attended from Albury, Milton, Coffs Harbour and Grafton. Many thanks go to the organisers of this event, which began with those who arrived early, prepared the venue and supplied the wood for the spit roast.
Friday night began with a delicious take-away dinner followed by the movie “Kenny”.
Lunch on Saturday consisted of soup and crunchy bread, provided and served by some wonderful cooks – thanks to all.
We followed this with grocery grab and a raffle with some lovely prizes, including a box of beer generously donated by the Whiporie shop – our thanks go to Desiree & Glen.
The tables were decorated and many members wore their Christmas clothes for dinner. John played pre dinner music and we were joined by invited guests, Brian and Nancy Phillips. President Bob began our “Christmas dinner” by saying grace and then we tucked into roast beef, lamb and pork with all the trimmings. A variety of yummy deserts followed including Christmas pudding and custard. Once again, thanks to all the great cooks for providing this feast.
All members please note that there is a change of venue for the October meeting. We will not be going to Rappville as advertised, instead we are going to Coutts Crossing Pub and a meal will be available at the pub. More details closer to the event.
Next meeting is to be held at Harwood. Dinner will be at the Harwood Hilton. Bookings are a must. Please phone Judy on 6643 1920 or 0428 431 920.
