Clarence Valley Ramblers Broadwater camp

The first camp for a while turned out to be a perfect weekend, with restrictions on the number of people being allowed to gather in one spot, unfortunately the members from Lismore were locked down so couldn’t come.

On Saturday we had raffle dice with Belinda winning again, and then in the afternoon Putt Putt golf (Terry C. set this “interesting” course of one (1) hole). I think next time we’ll have to ask the green keeper to mow the long grass and trim the trees for us. We ended having a play off between Robbo, Judy, Don, Lorraine and Terry C after they all got four, the scores from all of the players (17) ranged from 4-10. Don and Robbo both got three so another playoff (a lot for a bottle of wine) with Don winning.

The “Beach/Bush Sculptures” turned out to be quite interesting, we have some very “talented” members in our club. Marjorie’s ‘Cow Pat Kid’ won the majority of the buttons. Buttons, yes everyone was given a button and we put it on the one we believed was the best.

Saturday night we had Jaffles around the fire and then played ‘celebrity heads’ with some interesting names to try and guess, from Royalty to cartoon characters. Pinocchio was the most difficult, I think.

Thank you to everyone for coming, $300 was raised from the camp fees for the Westpac Helicopter, this year has been a lean one for our chosen charity with Covid-19 stopping the camping.
