Clarence River U3A

The new year is well and truly powering on and CRU3A members all gearing up for another busy year. Members please note that our enrolment day is on February 2, so those wishing to join Groups need to come on down to the Treelands Drive Community Centre, Yamba between 10 and 12, have a cuppa and enroll or re-enroll in your chosen classes. There are quite a few new groups this year with Croquet, Family History, Cyberseniors, Radio Controlled Sailboats and a new Book Group to be held in Yamba as well as several one off social activities, plus all those continuing activities. New members are always welcome, so come along to learn more about the many and diverse groups available. This year marks the 15th Anniversary of CRU3A and also the 10th year of The Men’s Shed, those years have certainly slipped by and we are hoping to have a social event to celebrate these milestones. The next ‘Film Appreciation’ evening will be on February 16 at 6pm in the Old Kirk at the museum in River Street Yamba. As usual BYO nibbles and drinks and be prepared for an evening of great film and information by Bernard. Numbers to Robyn on 6645 8676. The ‘Garden Group’ is off and running and already organising an overnight trip to the tablelands, staying in Dorrigo and visiting private gardens around Ebor and several specialist nurseries. All interested contact Ros 6646 0235. ALBoC’s Movie/lunch days have resumed and all are welcome to come see a movie, and enjoy a fun time over lunch. A trip to Brissy to see Sound Of Music on April 23 (cost $180 for travel, morning tea and ticket).
