Grafton Regional Gallery invites artists from the Clarence Valley and Northern Rivers regions to respond to the Clarence Valley’s stunning landscapes, people, and places, in a new community exhibition.
Taking inspiration from the famed ‘9 by 5 Impression Exhibition’ held in Melbourne in 1889, Clarence Impressions brings artists from the Northern Rivers together with their depictions and interpretations of the Clarence Valley.
Artists are invited to submit an artwork 230 x 130mm (9 x 5”), presented in landscape or portrait format. 2D and 3D entries are invited as long as they fit within the size format (230 x 130mm base). Artworks can be in any medium – painting, drawing, textile, mixed media.
Canvas boards in the specific format are available free of charge to present your artwork on, or you can create your own with the dimensions above. To enter, collect an entry form from the Grafton Regional Gallery Reception Desk, Iluka Emporium, Maclean Framing & Gallery, or via Grafton Regional Gallery’s website. Canvas boards are also available from these outlets.
To submit an artwork for Clarence Impressions, artists must reside in one of the following LGAs: Clarence Valley, Byron, Lismore, Tweed, Richmond Valley, Kyogle, or Ballina Shires.
Entries for Clarence Impressions close at 2pm, Sunday 2 February 2025.
Clarence Impressions will be on exhibition at Grafton Regional Gallery from Saturday 22 February – Sunday 27 April 2025.
