Former Angourie Boardrider’s member Morgan Ciblic, who now represents Merewether, saved his best for last, smashing out a barrage of massive turns to claim the 16-and-Under Boys final in the Rip Curl GromSearch presented by POSCA at Maroubra, Sydney over the weekend. The Novocastrian natural-footer hit his stride in a stacked heat, posting multiple excellent scores in excess of eight-points. Fellow event standout Liam O’Brien (Benowa, Qld) got within striking distance, posting a handful of excellent scores, but fell short by a 0.40 margin; Samson Coulter (Balgowlah) and Mikey McDonagh (Lennox Head) came third and fourth respectively.
