A two-year-old child was transported to Lismore Base Hospital by the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter on April 5 after sustaining serious injuries following a fall.

The incident occurred at an Iluka residence shortly before 10am.

NSW Ambulance attended the scene and treated the young boy after he fell from a lounge.

The child was initially in a semi-conscious state following the incident.

At the time of publication, the two-year-old was reported to be in a stable condition and he is expected to remain in hospital for further observation.
