A lively crowd of 70 people attended a special dinner and wine tasting session at the Crown Hotel in Grafton on May 7 to raise funds for flood-affected communities throughout the region.

Organised by Grafton Midday Rotary in support of the Clarence Valley Rotary District 9640 Flood Appeal, the evening also included a fundraising raffle, competitions, and an auction for a gorgeous floral arrangement which was overseen by a local real estate agent and newest member of the club Jake Kroehnert.

Describing the occasion as a wonderful night filled with good company, sensational food and beautiful wines, President of Grafton Midday Rotary Robert Blanchard said the event raised $4250 which will go towards helping local families in need.

Grafton Midday Rotary wish to acknowledge and thank the Crown Hotel for hosting the event and for generously donating prizes for the fundraiser including two bottles of wine and a hamper.

Mr Blanchard also wished to extend his sincere appreciation to the staff at the Crown Hotel for their wonderful service and to participants for supporting the event.
